meet Jesus.

know life. one verse explains it all.

Our culture is confused about Jesus. In fact, people’s reaction to Jesus is pretty revealing. You might wonder what all the fuss is about. Maybe you’ve heard a variety of ideas about Jesus and what it means to be a Christian.

Perhaps you think it’s what happens when you walk an aisle, pray a prayer or get baptized. Maybe you believe being “saved” is only for “good people,” or that salvation is something you have to earn with good works or something you can lose if you do bad things.

You don’t have to wonder or doubt. Jesus wants you to know that you have eternal life. (1 John 5:13). That’s why the Bible — God’s Word to us — is clear about every aspect of salvation. In fact, in the following video you’ll discover everything  you need to know about being saved in one verse. That verse is Romans 6:23.

how can I be saved?

Romans 6:23 says “…the gift of God is eternal life…” It’s a gift. That means its free. You don’t have to earn it. You don’t deserve it. He offers it to you for free. But its like any other gift: it isn’t yours until you receive it. How do you receive it?

HOW DO I RECEIVE THE GIFT OF SALVATION?

Romans 10:9 tells us how: “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” That’s it. Just declare He’s your lord (or boss, that’s what a lord is), and believe Jesus raised from the dead. Done. You’re saved. You’re a follower of Jesus.

WHAT WORDS DO I PRAY?

“Lord Jesus I want to know you personally. I am sorry for going my own way instead of your way. Thank you for dying on the cross to forgive me for my sin and for raising from the dead. Come and take first place in my life and make me the kind of person that you want me to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

It’s important to let someone know about your decision. You’re a brand new follower of Jesus–a baby Christian. Just like in life, a baby needs nourishment to grow, so do you. That’s our heart as a church. We want to come alongside you and help you know how to grow. So click here to tell us about your decision.
