Our strategy to keep everyone safe as we gather around the worship and the Word.
We cannot wait to gather as a church around worship and the Word. However, our goal is to keep everyone safe. Thus, our board and our staff has diligently worked to make sure we take every precaution, according to recommendations by the state of Oregon and the federal governments.
Please take a look at our COVID-19 FAQ’s as well as keep in mind that you may not be at risk for COVID-19, however, many people in our community are. Thus, always live according to Philippians 2:3 “In humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
Yes, we will be streaming both the 9am service and 11am service live as normal. Feel free to gather with us online.
No, you are not required to wear a mask, but we are encouraging people to wear masks. All staff and volunteers will be wearing masks (NOTE: On stage teachers and worship leaders will at times be without masks but will distance from chairs).
Yes, we have spaced out our seating in our auditorium according to recommended standards. Thus, we have about half of our inside seating availability. However, we will have overflow seating available in other parts of our facilities and outside sitting on our lawn for those who want to gather with the safety of being outside. We’d encourage people to arrive at least 15 minutes early to make sure they are able to find a seat that meets their needs.
Yes, we have outside seating available for those who wish to gather on-site, but would rather not be indoors in a crowd. We will have chairs available, or feel free to bring your own lawn chairs.
Please stay home and gather with us at our on-line campus at https://live.calvarymac.com.
Yes, we have worked hard to make sure our building follows recommendations. This includes:
- Everyone enters the building through the main Worship Center entrance found directly between our two buildings.
- Everyone exits through the side exit to avoid face-to-face contact.
- All entrances and exits are clearly marked.
- All staff and volunteers will be wearing masks (note; on stage teachers and worship leaders will at times be without masks but will distanced from chairs).
- Volunteers will be regularly sanitizing touched surfaces and restrooms.
- Staff will be encouraging social distancing.
We have two parking areas that connect between our two buildings.
- Upper Parking Lot: Use 2nd Street entrance.
Great for entering through our main entrance to the Worship Center. If this is your first time, park up here.
- Lower Parking Lot: Use Cypress Street entrance.
Great for existing. Until we enter Phase 3 as a state, the lower parking lot entrance will be “exit only.”
Both parking lots fill up close to service time (especially for our 11 AM service), so we’d encourage you to find a spot 15 minutes before service time.
We don’t have a dress code. If you’re wearing jeans, hats, or an old tee-shirt, you’ll fit right in.You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
Kids ministries and nursery care are closed at this time to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We will be opening all kids ministries ASAP. Sign up for “The Loop” for current updates. Children are asked to sit with their families in the main service.
Here’s a secret about our Sunday morning service: teenagers actually love it. Our band is actually really good, and students are impacted by our teaching just like adults. That’s why we don’t have separate student ministry meetings on Sunday. Instead, our student ministry services happen during the week. Here’s the times:
- 6th – 10th Grade meet Wednesday at 7pm in the Next Generation Center.
- 11th – 12th Grade meet Sunday at 7pm in the Next Generation Center.
- 18+ meet for Rethink on Mondays at 7pm in the Next Generation Center.
If you are visiting, we won’t ask you to give a dime. We won’t make you wear a visitor badge or ask you to stand up or do anything that could make you feel uncomfortable. We want you to remain as anonymous as you want to, but we encourage you to visit our church over several weeks to see what’s going on at CalvaryMac.
Our bands rock (we’re a little biased)! It’ll be upbeat and probably louder than you expected but earplugs are available at the doors if you have sensitive ears. You’ll hear a few worship songs so feel free to sing along or participate however you feel most comfortable. Lyrics will be on the screens.
We don’t have any. We’re not really into adding names to lists, so if you’d like to be a a part of CalvaryMac, congratulations! You’re in!
We have 2 services for you to choose from on Sunday’s, at 9:00 A.M. & 11:00 A.M. Each service features programs for infant through school aged children.
Because parking fills up fast and so that you won’t feel rushed, we do recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the service to navigate our children’s check-in and make your way to the worship center.
