Pastoral Transition Weekly Update

Just a quick update this week.

  • I don't plan to get up next week and do an update on Easter Sunday, so as not to distract from that special day.
  • We have been busy this week wrapping up some logistical items around Pastor Brian's resignation
  • Last week I mentioned that we were planning to have Poimen Ministries come soon and do a ministry assessment here at Calvary. That visit has been scheduled for mid-April.
  • Thanks to all of you that attended the night of Worship and Prayer this last Wednesday. We had a good turnout, with about 60 people in attendance, and I think it was a really good time of emotional healing for a lot of people and a great time of prayer for our future.

Finally, just to answer a few of the common questions I've been hearing about the process:
  • No, no lawsuit or legal action has been threatened or implied by anyone at any point in these events.
  • Yes, all four of us deacons and elders do have full time jobs aside from our Board duties here at Calvary.
  • No, we have not yet started to form the Pastoral Search Team. That is something wewill be working on in the coming weeks.

We are praying that you all will be blessed as you celebrate our savior in the coming week, and thank you all for your prayers and support during this time.
